As an ANBI certified foundation, we adhere to the highest standards of transparency and accountability in our financial operations.


TERRA Foundation is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Treasurer to join our esteemed Board of Direction. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Dutch financial regulations pertaining to foundations, particularly those related to ANBI certification. As Treasurer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the fiscal integrity and transparency of our organization's operations.


Responsibilities:

  •    Financial Oversight: Oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance with Dutch financial regulations and ANBI certification requirements.
  •    Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Direction, providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's mission and goals.
  •  Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the Board of Direction on a regular basis, highlighting key financial metrics, variances, and trends.
  •   Audit Coordination: Coordinate the annual financial audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Investment Management: Provide oversight of the organization's investment portfolio, ensuring prudent investment strategies aligned with our mission and financial objectives.
  •  Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks facing the organization, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies to safeguard assets and resources.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in Dutch financial regulations and ANBI certification requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Board Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the Board of Direction, providing financial expertise and guidance to support informed decision-making.


Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  •   Extensive experience in financial management, with a strong understanding of Dutch financial regulations and ANBI certification requirements for foundations.
  •   Proven track record of financial leadership and strategic planning, ideally within the non-profit sector or similar organizations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and commitment to transparency in financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  •   Ability to work independently.
