Only you determine who you are is a behavioral intervention in which sport is used as a means to realize positive behavioral change.
The intervention is aimed at young people aged 12 to 18 in practical education or the primary and secondary vocational education pathway of the VMBO.
As the head coach you carry out the intervention and make sure that you offer the youngsters structure and keep them on the right path.
During the intervention you are responsible for a positive social environment in which skills related to norms and values are taught. Think of dealing with authority, having discipline and setting boundaries and other
skills.
As a head trainer you act as a role model within the intervention and you are the most important link in achieving the objectives. You distinguish yourself from a regular sports trainer, because within Only you determines who you are, sporting achievements are subordinate to development in the social field.
