Do you live in The Hague and do you want to help people who have fled the war in Ukraine?Detailed description
Samen Hier is looking for groups of residents of The Hague who want to be matched to Ukrainian newcomers for a year. Our research has shown that, now that the war is lasting longer than expected, Ukrainians increasingly want connection with Dutch society and a social network.
In groups of 3-5 friends, acquaintances or neighbors, you will welcome a Ukrainian refugee or refugee family in The Hague together for a year. As a group, you guide them, for example, in finding a suitable job or education program, get to know the city together or practice the Dutch language.
We will provide support during the year in the form of trainings, guidance and community building. Samen Hier focuses on building equal relationships, and your role most closely resembles that of an involved neighbor, a guide and above all a friend.
