MOVE! JUMP INTO ACTION!

Do you want to work with children who have fewer opportunities than their peers, and would you like to provide them with an insight into an unknown world? Additionally, do you see a great challenge in activating your environment and are you a real entrepreneur? Then read on quickly!

What are you going to do?     

With Stichting Move you set up a short-term social project with and for children from 7th or 8^th grade from a vulnerable neighborhood in The Hague or Leiden. Together with them you devise and organize something positive for the neighborhood in which the children live. For example, this could be a dinner show for the elderly or making a graffiti artwork! In addition, you provide the children with a glimpse into the life of a student or young professional. For example by visiting the university, organising a mini lecture or providing a tour through your company: An unforgettable experience for the children.

You will form a team with 4 to 6 other students or young professionals and you will be in charge of the preparation and implementation of the project. On the one hand, you guide the pupils during the project, you enthuse them, and together you ensure that the action devised by the children eventually becomes reality. On the other hand, you ensure proper preparation of the sessions at school, you set up a financial plan, and you involve relevant external parties in the project. During the project you will be coached and supervised by a Move project coordinator and on average a project will cost you a few hours per week (approximately 50-60 hours in total).

Are you in?     

For the period March 2023 – June 2023 we are looking for several skilled trainers who are willing to lead such a project in The Hague or Leiden. Are you motivated to work with children, are you a good communicator and are you looking for social and connecting volunteer work with a lot of freedom to act?
