Summary
Do you want to work for children in The Hague who have fewer opportunities than their peers? Then the Move-project together with ADO Den Haag might be for you!Detailed description
Move! Get moving too!
Stichting Move and ADO Den Haag in de Maatschappij are joining forces! As part of the project 'Leven als een ADO-prof!', Stichting Move provides a program of two half-days for the participating children. This program is aimed at social participation and solidarity in the city, to which real ADO professionals are also committed. Do you, as a student or young professional, also want to contribute and let the children experience how they can have an impact on their environment?! Then read on quickly!
Leven als een ADO-prof
With ‘Leven als een ADO-prof!', ADO Den Haag in de Maatschappij wants to give children and young people from the region the opportunity to experience the unique experience as a professional football player in an optimal environment, to discover their talents and develop competences. During this journey of discovery, the children learn, among other things, about a healthy lifestyle, positive coaching, a (un)respectful attitude, cooperation, social media, setting goals and many other competences involving both internal and external collaborations with experienced organisations.
Move in 1 dag
Stichting Move gives substance to part of the project by carrying out a program consisting of two half-days per team. During these half-days, each team will work under the guidance of trainers/volunteers on the theme of 'doing something for someone else'. They talk to each other and the local residents and work out an idea to give the local residents a boost. The program consists of two parts: the first afternoon the children invent and choose an action. A week later they carry out a mini-project: a waste clean-up afternoon, handing out compliments to local residents... The children themselves think of what they want to contribute and are supervised by the students/young professionals. This way they experience responsibility and ownership, and they discover how they can have an impact on their environment from their own creativity and talents!
Sound good?
Would you like to get started with this group of children aged 8-12? And are you looking for accessible, but impactful volunteer work or an educational internship with which you can give something back to beautiful The Hague? Then this project is for you!
We are looking for students and young professionals who would like to supervise two or more projects in May and June of 2023. As a trainer/volunteer you are part of a team. You are therefore able to work well with others and feel confident in front of a group. You can enthuse children and are able to stimulate their creativity. You also like to take responsibility for your own project. In preparation you will receive project and didactics training from Move. During the project you will be continuously supervised by a Move project coordinator.
Interested?! Mail for more information or to register to [email protected]! You can sign up alone, but also with a friend or team mate! Moreover, it is also possible to use the project as an internship. Please also contact us for this!
Project dates: The projects take place at different times in the afternoon on two consecutive weeks.
