Do you enjoy working with dogs and do you enjoy walking dogs?

For the dog boarding house and shelter we are looking for various enthusiastic volunteers who want to walk our dogs in the afternoon. Times: 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. We take care of our animals 7 days a week, so you are also very much needed during weekends and holidays!

Tasks:

· When you enter you will be assigned a number of dogs to walk. You always start with easier, social dogs and if you like it and it goes well, you can walk larger dogs or dogs with instructions for use later

· We have various options for walking on the terrain: you can walk in the field on a leash, play on a fenced sand field or let the dog run loose on a large training field

· You make sure the dog is safe and never lose sight of it

· Always clean up poop so no one steps in it and other dogs don't eat it!

· After playing or walking, return the dog to its kennel

· Report any details to one of the animal caretakers

What do we ask of you?

Passion for working with dogs. A great sense of responsibility. Experience with dogs is an advantage. At least 3 months, at least 1 afternoon per week, preferably on a fixed day per week. You speak Dutch or English and you are at least 16 years old.
