Summary

Help us with the Just and Peace Month opening and closing events on September 19th and October 24th.

Detailed description

The Just Peace Month showcases the variety of ways that The Hague is working on peace and justice both nationally and internationally. By connecting residents of the city with organizations and the themes they are working on, the Just Peace Month celebrates, informs and enlightens a wide variety of participants. Past editions have seen Hague-based international organizations open their doors to the public through the Just Peace Festival. With the uncertainties of covid restrictions, this year’s Just Peace Month will have multiple activities in hybrid and online formats over a period of from 5 weeks September 19 throughout to October 24.

International institutions in The Hague, such as Eurojust, the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will participate. They will demonstrate how they work every day for peace and justice and shed light on career and internship opportunities through videos, live streams, webinars and, if possible, live or hybrid events. We need your help with the upcoming opening and closing events on September 19th and October 24th. The responsibilities vary from registration help, welcoming guests to logistics and coordination. Help us to promote The Hague as the international city of Peace and Justice during the Just Peace Month 2021 events!

About The Hague Humanity Hub

The Humanity Hub is a not-for-profit foundation that supports and strengthens the Hague ecosystem for a more peaceful and just world. We facilitate collaboration and innovation by offering the necessary ingredients for chance encounters, inspirational collaborations, and the exchange of knowledge. The Hub is both an actively managed community and two beautifully designed spaces in The Hague where professionals can connect and collaborate, work, and hold events.

Our growing community is active in a wide range of fields such as peacebuilding, justice innovation, education, humanitarian action, climate action, and development aid, and ranging from non-profit to for profit, start-ups to scale-ups, small local to large international organizations and academia. Our amibition is to unleash the potential of the ecosystem by engaging as many organsiations as possible in our community.

The Humanity Hub recently became an SDG House with the purpose to connect and support collaboration between diverse actors working on international impact to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
