SummaryRespite care-Mantelzorg Archipel/Willemspark, Zeeheldenkwartier and Kortenbos
In today's private equity society, more and more demands are made on informal care. Zebra is actively involved with carers and is looking for volunteers who want to relieve carers by temporarily taking over (care) tasks from them.
This may involve supporting the informal caregiver with practical tasks, social activities or temporarily taking over care tasks.
It can be one-off support or periodic support. For each informal caregiver with request for help, it is examined which form of support is desirable and how the volunteer can make a difference in this regard. We are looking for volunteers who want to work for informal carers living in the Archipelbuurt, Willemspark Zeeheldenkwartier and Kortenbos neighborhoods.
In people's homes.
Week and weekend from 9 am to 5 pm. Working hours in consultation. Depending on the request of the informal caregiver and care recipient and in consultation with the professional.
The demand for informal care support varies. This means that there is not always a need for respite care and that there are periods when volunteer work is not available.
Perform individual (care) tasks with a care recipient or person suffering from dementia. The tasks can differ per situation. For example, take a walk, go to the doctor, read the newspaper together, make a puzzle together, etc.
We ask volunteers to:
Having affinity with the elderly, being reliable and patient, being able to create safety and having sufficient social skills.
“We as an organization are 'Corona-proof' and during these volunteer activities a distance of 1.5 meters between the elderly and the volunteer can be maintained and the volunteer and the elderly are both expected to fully adhere to the hygiene measures according to the RIVM and complete the activity. to say in case of health complaints of a volunteer or elderly person in accordance with the advice of the RIVM ”.
As a volunteer we offer you:
- Training opportunities: urban training opportunities in the form of courses on syndromes, setting boundaries, etc. will be offered.
- Support and personal guidance from the counselor for the elderly.
