Description:

Join us for a vibrant afternoon exploring the rich cultural diversity of The Hague’s Schilderswijk and Transvaal neighborhoods. This interactive tour begins with coffee, tea, and local delicacies, followed by a guided walk through the area. Along the way, you’ll visit a community garden, hear inspiring stories from local changemakers, discover hidden cultural landmarks, and meet local entrepreneurs at the Hague Market.


Program Overview

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM | “Taste the Cultures” – Neighborhood Walk & Encounters

Start with coffee, tea, and local treats, followed by a guided tour through Schilderswijk and Transvaal.

Along the way:

  • Visit to the community garden with a story by Ahmed Belaarbi
  • Insights from Mohamed Arraq on safety and community spirit
  • Visit to the Hague Market with meetings with local entrepreneurs
  • Introduction to cultural and historical landmarks in the neighborhood

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | Shared Meal & Neighborhood Stage – Julianaplaza

The event concludes with a shared meal and an open “Neighborhood Stage” at Julianaplaza and an opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate community spirit together.
