Wool of Warmth Flea Market in May 2026

Stichting Wool of Warmth is organising a flea market at their premise to raise funds for their non-profit. You can expect some furniture, arts and crafts, CDs and more. They collect wool and organize knitting groups that knit for people who are experiencing homelessness in The Hague.

Calling all recent expats to The Hague region! Our friends at The Hague International Centre would love to hear from you! They are looking for internationals to join an online conversation as part of their research to make their services better for you and others in our wonderful expat community. In this focus group session, you'll be asked about your experiences in relocating to The Hague: What went smoothly? What difficulties did you encounter? What can THIC do to make things easier for you?
This online focus group session will take place on Monday, 31 January at 18:00 and is meant for expats who have been in The Hague for a maximum of three years. If you're interested in participating, you can sign up via this link!

Our friends at The Hague International Centre work to help as many people feel at home in The Hague region as possible! To support this mission, they are organizing monthly webinars that offer information and advice on how to make your move to The Hague region go smoothly. These webinars will be held twice-monthly and will be presented by one of their expert team member. Subjects will include a wide variety of topics, including essential government formalities, finding a new home, finding the right (international) school, taxes, healthcare, medical insurance, and much more!
The webinars will have two time slots: the second Monday of the month in the evening (17:30-18:30) and the third Wednesday of the month in the morning (11:00-12:00), with the hope that these time slots will make it easier for people to join in who have not yet made their move to the Netherlands.

Ambassador Programme
Be a voice for change: become an ambassador of The Hague International Centre
Are you an international living, working or studying in The Hague region? Would you like to be an ambassador for the local international community and help improve local services? Join our ambassador programme!
Ambassadors of The Hague International Centre will:
Be consulted on our ideas for services for international people
Get involved in making sure that every international in the region is well supported
Help to inspire and activate the international community
Get plenty of opportunities to network with policy makers, other internationals, and much more!
What we ask of you:
The position is on a voluntary basis:
A minimum commitment of 1 year, with a maximum term of 3 years
Availability to meet 6 times a year as part of a focus group (the first meet-up will take place on 10 February)
Becoming part of our advisory team and being available (if you’d like) at our events, and being interviewed for our website
What’s in it for me?
Being able to affect real change for (new) internationals in our region
Contributing to making services for international people better
Having a platform and representation in the region
A stimulating environment where people are free to give their ideas
