DCR is a cultural hotspot in The Hague located in the former 1930s offices of the Electriciteitsfabriek. Situated right next to the (still!) operational Uniper city power plant, a landmark for The Hague with its tall factory chimneys and monumental architecture by city architect Schadee, recognizable from afar. What makes our creative hub special is the combination of four cultural venues with various studios for independent makers and a café. For instance, there is Zaal 3, the experimental theatre of Het Nationale Theater; Soundhouse as the centre for new music; Nest as the platform for contemporary visual arts; Cloud/DansLab as our dance laboratory; and ARTEk as a fully equipped sound and recording studio.
