Become a public transport coach and help others on their way to independent travel Public transport coach is a project in The Hague for everyone aged 12 and over who wants to learn to travel independently by public transport. Many people have become accustomed to special transport, such as a van or taxi, for example for school, work or leisure activities. This transport is often a solution, but also ensures that people remain dependent on others, while they may be able to travel (partly) independently. Independent travel gives freedom Being able to travel independently is an important step towards more freedom, self-direction and social participation. It makes spontaneous actions possible, such as deciding to go to the cinema with friends in the evening. That is why we at public transport coach believe in opportunities and possibilities instead of limitations. The public transport coach offers tailor-made guidance for everyone who has questions about independent travel – whether it concerns people with a disability, young people who are gaining their first travel experience, or elderly people who want to learn to travel by bus or train again. With creative solutions and personal support, participants often achieve more than they had anticipated. Volunteer vacancy: become a public transport coach!
