The BAKboord The Hague Foundation is committed to a safe society in which people with a history of detention are given the opportunity to build a new, meaningful life. With the help of our driven and enthusiastic volunteers, BAKboord The Hague seeks opportunities to help our participants feel useful again in a job or education that suits them. By mapping out all areas of life as thoroughly as possible and maintaining contact with partner organizations, we try to minimize the risk of recidivism. Finding (and retaining) work is of essential importance in this regard. After all, having a job not only creates a social safety net but also provides a reason to get up early and make the most of the day.

Stichting BAKboord is a volunteer organization that believes in a second chance for people with a history of detention. Our primary goal is to help them find a paid job, volunteer work, or suitable education.
