About Stichting BAKboord Den Haag

The BAKboord Den Haag Foundation is committed to a safe society in which people with a history of incarceration have the opportunity to build a new, meaningful life. With the help of our dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, BAKboord Den Haag seeks ways to help our participants feel useful again in a job or training program that suits them. By mapping all areas of life as thoroughly as possible and maintaining contact with partner organizations, we strive to minimize the risk of recidivism. Finding (and keeping) work is essential in this regard. After all, having a job not only creates a social safety net but also gives people a reason to get up on time and make the most of their day.
