Volunteer Coordinator Activities and Contact Person Care Team
You
Make a difference for residents with complex care needs by facilitating meaningful encounters and genuine connection. As a coordinator at the Bruggenmakers Foundation, you'll bring people both inside and outside the institution closer together.
What are you going to do?
With a small, enthusiastic team of volunteers, you create a safe and stimulating environment for this special group of people.
About the Bridge Makers Foundation
The Bruggenmakers Foundation strengthens connections in residential care settings by facilitating easy connections, establishing preventive networks, and fostering intergenerational connections. We believe that a warm community, where everyone feels seen, heard, and understood, is key to quality of life, including for residents with VG7 and other more demanding care profiles.
Loneliness in care facilities is more than just a lack of social contact. For many people with complex care needs, such as those in the so-called "more difficult" classes, it's the long-term experience of not being seen, heard, or understood in their full humanity. The structure of 24-hour care, with its rigid routines and physical boundaries, makes it difficult to build or maintain meaningful relationships outside the facility.
