Catherine Klaverwijden, head of Laaktheater programming, said in a conversation with a theater maker: we try to make art personal. And that is actually so well said! Because that is exactly what we do at Laaktheater. Bringing art in so many different ways that there is an opportunity for everyone to make it their own and experience it. That art is not scary or not for you, but that art is really for and for everyone. As long as you find or are offered a way that suits you.

One of the ways we try to make art personal is by making the program together. Together with people who want to share their love for culture. Their love for film, photography, (youth) theater or music. Our programming arises because people with an idea just walk in and because we meet people with ideas in the neighborhood. And all those people with all those ideas together, results in a wonderful program that we are incredibly proud of.
