The Bloemenbuurt: a nice neighborhood for everyone who spends time here; a neighborhood where you can be young and grow old
The Neighborhood Council believes it is important that the Bloemenbuurt is and remains a pleasant and beautiful neighborhood for residents, entrepreneurs, students and passers-by. Social cohesion and well-being, quality of life and (traffic) safety are paramount. The Neighborhood Council facilitates and organizes numerous activities for and by residents of the Bloemenbuurt (and beyond). The De Hyacint district building and its associated garden provide a beautiful home base for this. In addition, the Neighborhood Council supports initiatives by residents and other parties that contribute to the well-being of residents and the quality of life in the neighborhood. Advocacy does not fall within the scope of duties.
The Neighborhood Council has contacts with the municipality about municipal plans and developments in the neighborhood. The Neighborhood Council ensures that residents can make their voices heard.
The Neighborhood Council consists of volunteers. Every year, the Neighborhood Council makes choices about which themes and topics are relevant and feasible.
