Are you a film enthusiast with a flair for marketing? The International Film Festival The Hague is seeking volunteers to support marketing efforts.

As a Marketing Volunteer, you will be at the forefront of promoting the festival through offline engagement, community outreach, and on-ground marketing initiatives. Your efforts will directly contribute to attracting audiences, building excitement, and ensuring the festival’s visibility across The Hague.

Responsibilities

1. Promotional Material Distribution

  • Distribute flyers, posters, and brochures at key locations such as cinemas, cultural centers, cafes, libraries, and universities.
  • Ensure visibility of festival branding at high-footfall areas, including transportation hubs and community spaces.
  • Coordinate with local businesses and partners to display promotional materials.

2. Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Visit universities, film schools, and art institutions to spread awareness and encourage student participation.
  • Represent the festival at local events, exhibitions, and networking meetups to promote attendance.
  • Connect with film clubs, cultural organizations, and embassies to foster partnerships and audience interest.

3. Sponsorship & Partner Activation Support

  • Assist in executing promotional activities in collaboration with sponsors and partners.
  • Help set up branded stands, banners, and festival booths at key locations.
  • Ensure sponsor branding is appropriately placed and visible during festival events.

4. Street Marketing & Guerrilla Promotions

  • Organize creative street marketing campaigns (e.g., flash mobs, street performances, pop-up screenings).
  • Engage with the public by distributing invitations, answering questions, and encouraging participation.
  • Help with promotional giveaways and merchandise distribution.

5. On-Site Festival Promotion & Audience Engagement

  • Welcome and interact with attendees to enhance their festival experience.
  • Conduct audience surveys and gather feedback to improve future editions.
  • Assist with media and press coordination, ensuring smooth access to screenings and events.
