BIPOC & Queer in Den Haag? Skip the long waiting lists and cultural gaps. Discover our free, safe, and personalized coaching journey just for you!

A Space to Breathe and Thrive

At Advocates Who Thrive, we are opening doors to The Queers Are Thriving, a specialized coaching journey designed to offer the depth and cultural safety that traditional approaches often struggle to provide.

Our support helps you navigate the specific challenges of your intersectional journey, and you don’t need a perfect "plan" to start. We are here to walk with you through hurdles like building your tribe, finding balance in identity & belonging, gaining decision clarity, setting healthy boundaries, closing the safety gap, and unpacking internalized shame.

What We Offer You

We provide a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you don't have to translate your soul or act as the "educator" explaining your identity to a professional. You will receive free, personalized coaching sessions focused entirely on your personal goals.

Concretely, this means:

  • One-to-one coaching sessions tailored entirely to you;
  • Conducted completely online for your comfort and ease;
  • Available in English or Arabic, so you can express yourself freely;
  • Guided by Sammy (he/they), an empathetic, LVSC-registered coach with a Social Work degree and specialized training, who deeply understands the lived experience of navigating these systems as a queer person of color.

Is This Space For You?

This space is dedicated to you if you are:

  • A BIPOC Queer individual (18+) living in Den Haag;
  • Caught in "The Waiting Gap" of overbooked traditional care, or feeling exhausted by cultural misunderstandings;
  • Feeling "hypervisible" as a person of color, migrant, or bicultural individual, but "invisible" as a person.
  • Note: You do absolutely not need a medical diagnosis to join us. Simply recognizing these hurdles in your life is enough.

Ready to Connect?

If you want to step into a space where you are truly seen, we would love to welcome you. You can choose how you would like to take the next step:

  • Check out our info-pack for more information: https://tinyurl.com/496b8yx2 (English version) or https://tinyurl.com/yuw4cv5z (Arabic version)
  • Fill out our online form to see if there is a match: https://tinyurl.com/svbztkj5
  • Or feel free to reach out directly to Sammy via [email protected]

About Advocates Who Thrive

At Advocates Who Thrive we empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for social and environmental justice.

We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity and competences to speak up, lobby & campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights and inclusion.

In order to successfully address these urgent societal challenges, we need all kinds of angles and viewpoints to be on board. That’s where our main activities – the intensive, multi-day training courses that we organize – come in. Where international youth from all kinds of backgrounds come together. The training setup in combination with their passion and collective drive allows them to fully focus on the topic and on each other. As a result, participants develop themselves and each other in ways they never imagined before.

Fully in line with these values, in our organization we welcome and involve youth from all walks of life. No matter their background, religion, education, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to join!
