Public Affairs Advisor (National PA working group)

  • Are you between 18 and 35 years old?
  • Would you like to commit to a sustainable living environment?
  • Would you like to be kept informed of the latest developments in national, provincial and local politics in the field of sustainability?
  • Are you available 8 hours a week for at least a year?

Apply now for the vacancy of Public Affairs Advisor of the national PA working group of JongRES!

Your role as Public Affairs advisor!

As a Public Affairs advisor, you ensure that the voice of young people is reflected in political policy. You represent the voice of young people from the regions on the sustainable living environment in national political decision-making. You also support the regions in local, regional and provincial advocacy. You will delve into a number of dossiers, develop a political strategy together with the working group and then enter into discussions with politicians and policymakers.

The work that JongRES requires from volunteers mainly requires entering into and maintaining discussions with local, provincial and national politicians. This means that all work can be carried out in The Hague. There is no fixed workplace, most of the work will be done from home, but many appointments will also be physical (in The Hague).

About Stichting JongRES

JongRES

JongRES ensures that young people in their region can think and participate. In this way we ensure that the good ideas of young people are taken into account and that the plans made are in line with how young people see their future, so that we can live in the Netherlands where they would like to live.

The regions face important decisions that strongly influence the future of our provinces. It is therefore important that young people are actively involved in shaping the Netherlands of tomorrow. JongRES ensures that young people can speak to politicians and policymakers about what they consider important. We do this on the basis of the regional vision.

We are a fast-growing foundation with ideals, courage and vision. Together with passionate volunteers, a dedicated staff office and a national board, we are working on the future of the Netherlands. At JongRES you have the opportunity to further develop yourself and build valuable contacts within a network of enthusiastic young people from various sectors. Together we influence local and regional policy and contribute to a sustainable living environment. We also pay attention to each other and have fun!
