Summary

Do you love camping, are you a natural organizer, enjoy working together, and want to do something good for your neighborhood? Organize your own Neighborhood Camp!

Detailed description

Every year, together with our Buurtmakers (Neighborhood Makers), we transform parks throughout the Netherlands into welcoming Neighborhood Campsites. For three days, the park transforms into a vibrant meeting place, open to everyone in the neighborhood. Neighbors of all ages and backgrounds come together to get to know each other better and enjoy a holiday in their own park. It doesn't matter your age, where you're from, or what kind of house you live in – everyone is welcome! Camping together creates a welcoming neighborhood where you know, greet, and help each other.

About our organization, De Buurt Foundation

We work to create neighborhoods where people greet, know, and help each other. We do this by organizing fun and connecting activities with residents. This facilitates connections between different people throughout the Netherlands. In this way, we contribute to happy, healthy, and connected neighborhoods.

What will you do as a campsite manager?

As a campsite manager, you make a difference in your community. You bring people together, organize an unforgettable weekend, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Being a campsite manager requires dedication, flexibility, and a passion for organization.

Of course, you won't be doing this alone: you'll work with an enthusiastic team of 3 to 5 neighbors for approximately 2 to 4 hours per week for six months. You'll receive support with permits, funding, and promotional activities, take a (super fun) training course through De Buurtcampus, and receive a volunteer allowance.

We are looking for someone who:

  • loves camping
  • is a real go-getter
  • likes to collaborate
  • want to do something good for the neighborhood!

Do you love challenges, teamwork, and fun? Then this is your chance to create something special in your neighborhood! Register and experience months you'll never forget!

The sequel & The Neighborhood Campus

After you register, we'll contact you for an introduction. Once the team is complete, we'll start around January/February. At the same time, we'll be launching the Neighborhood Campus: the most fun training program in the Netherlands! In six months, you'll learn everything you need to organize your Neighborhood Campsite: from safety, funding, and permits to ticket sales and promotion.
