We are looking for volunteers who are willing to take responsibility for buying, preparing, and serving food for our sick homeless guests.
Since September 2022, the HouseMartin Foundation has been providing shelter to the homeless and the sick in The Hague. Following a referral from the street nursing team, these guests can stay here for a short time to recover from an illness or to rehabilitate after a hospital stay.
We are looking for a cook to prepare, cook, and serve affordable, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our sick guests, create a healthy menu, do the grocery shopping, clear the tables, and do the dishes.
You are not required to perform caregiving or nursing duties, and you must be available for at least one half-day (4 hours per half-day) per week.
