Welcome to Viable Community, a non-profit organisation based in the European Union dedicated to community-managed projects focused on preserving and regenerating nature. We are currently looking for a volunteer recruiter to help us grow our teams by attracting, interviewing, and onboarding dedicated volunteers. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our impact by ensuring we bring in the right people who align with our mission. Your interest to work on broader People Operations topics is highly regarded. 

What you will be doing:

  • Create job listing and manage applications in Volunteer The Hague and Salesforce
  • Screen applications, conduct interviews, and match candidates with suitable roles.
  • Collaborate with department leads to understand recruitment needs.
  • Assist with maintaining volunteer records and People documentation.
  • Collaborate with the People team to improve recruitment, onboarding processes, and People Operation initiatives. 

What you will bring to the table: 

  • Some experience in recruitment and/or people operations 
  • Courage, curiosity and persistency
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Passionate about environmental sustainability and community engagement.

  • Opportunities to learn and grow including training, workshops and networking.
  • Insight and experience in an organisation that works in a different way. We have a Bottom Up Management approach, Self Managing teams and we are working to integrate Holacracy practices.
  • Gaining experience with our digital workspace tools such as Google workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Canva, Salesforce, Claude.
