The Grote Kerk is looking for hosts for the annual May 4th commemoration and the Freedom Brunch on May 5th. See https://www.huisvoordestad-denhaag.nl/agenda/.
The annual May 4th commemoration in the Grote Kerk starts with dialogues; at 5:30 PM, the central program begins with music, conversations, and poems by students. Afterwards, we walk together to the monument at Carnegieplein to lay flowers. We are looking for volunteers to prepare rooms, serve coffee and tea, greet guests, and pour coffee and tea. We will then clean up together. The following day, the Liberation Brunch takes place in the church between 11 AM and 1 PM with a special musical program. Here too, we are looking for hosts and hostesses to welcome visitors and serve the Liberation soup. We will also organize craft activities for children.
