Scan me or visit www.volunteerthehague.nl/o/Stichting-JO/opportunities/Volunteer-BarberHairdresser--Mentor-and-Inspire-Young-Boys/113928 to join

Stichting J&O is looking for a volunteer barber or hairdresser to mentor boys (ages 13–21) and introduce them to the barbering profession.

For the boys at Stichting J&O, we are seeking an experienced barber or hairdresser who is willing to mentor young people (ages 13–21) who are still exploring their career paths.

Many of the boys we work with have potential but lack clear direction. By introducing them to barbering — including hygiene standards, cutting techniques, fades, grooming, and client communication — we provide them with practical skills and increased self-confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical workshops in cutting and grooming techniques
  • Teach hygiene standards, tools, and professional posture
  • Supervise practice sessions
  • Share insights on entrepreneurship and working as a self-employed barber

What we offer

  • A safe and supportive learning environment
  • A committed youth organization in The Hague
  • Visibility for your professional skills
  • Opportunity for the volunteer role to grow into a paid collaboration
