As a host/hostess, you ensure that our guests have a pleasant stay in our (neighborhood) restaurant, with all the work that goes with it.
As a host/hostess you are responsible for the neighborhood restaurant where our guests can have a hot meal in the afternoon. We also have a small menu with, among other things, pancakes, toasted sandwiches, a cup of coffee, etc.
You have a chat with our guests, take orders and prepare a sandwich, cup of coffee, etc. and pay for it, you also ensure that the restaurant is in top order and that includes a number of cleaning activities. You work together with the employees in the kitchen and our changing interns who also need to be managed.

It focuses on 3 main tasks: cultural development (among young people) through a music centre, organizing social activities for the neighborhood through a neighborhood restaurant and organizing live music performances and events through Podium aan Zee.
In the field of (music) cultural education, the Association has laid a strong foundation since the late 1960s for its current status as a breeding ground for young musical and theater talent in Scheveningen. YMCA is now the largest music culture provider in this district with a wide range of various classes, taught by 20 qualified professionals. YMCA has a multifunctional concert hall and three fully facilitated teaching studios.
YMCA Scheveningen is a non-profit organization that gives volunteers and interns the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, and provides room for development.
