We are looking for volunteers with green fingers who can help maintain our garden on a regular basis.
Help create a welcoming entrance while supporting people affected by cancer
Do you enjoy gardening? Would you like to contribute to an organization that supports people affected by cancer? Then we would love to hear from you!
About the role
We are looking for volunteers with green fingers who can help maintain our garden on a regular basis. Tasks may include:
- Watering plants
- Removing weeds
- Pruning
- Planting
- Keeping the entrance to our center and terrace looking welcoming and well cared for
Our building has green areas at the front and side, as well as a terrace on the first floor. Maintaining these spaces helps ensure that our center has a pleasant and inviting appearance and brings joy to our visitors.
About Centrum Marike
Centrum Marike is there for anyone affected by cancer - people who are currently living with cancer, those who have recovered, and their loved ones.
We provide a listening ear, peer support, and a variety of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds, aimed at improving quality of life, relaxation, and connection. These include yoga, massages, walking, and creative workshops.
For over 17 years, Centrum Marike has been powered by volunteers. Together, we create a warm and welcoming space where our guests feel at home and supported.
Who are we looking for?
Volunteers who:
- Have a passion for gardening (“green fingers”)
- Have experience with garden maintenance
- Feel connected to our mission and target group
Your hours are flexible and can be arranged based on your availability.
