Wanted: Shuttle driver (volunteer)

For this position you need a driver's license, but no specific training or experience. We will train you and you can follow our internal training courses.

In this role, you will be at the forefront, together with the ambulance drivers, of carrying out our mission: helping animals in need.

The shuttle services support the regular animal ambulance drivers by transporting wild birds, hedgehogs, etc. from our animal hospital and the animal ambulances on their way to the bird shelter, hedgehog sanctuary or wildlife shelter.

This happens in the morning and evening hours. During the morning shuttle service, you may also drive injured and sick pets from our animal hospital for operations and treatments to veterinarians.

“We are currently looking for drivers for the following parts of the day:

-Tuesday mornings

-Thursday mornings

You act and drive calmly. In doing so, you reassure the animals and at the same time you are our calling card on the road.

Doing :

• transporting injured and sick (domestic) animals;
• collecting dead animals from the streets
• driving the animal ambulance;
• keeping work materials clean.

Be able to:

• MBO level;
• in possession of a driving license B;
• living in the area of The Hague;
• at least one fixed morning or evening per week available, until October. That way we can handle the summer rush together! And of course it is no problem if you go on a well-deserved vacation in between.

The morning shuttles run from 08:30 to approximately 11:00 and the evening shuttles run from 18:30 to approximately 21:00, both on weekdays and weekends.
