Join our volunteer team one day a week (or more) to sell, collect or repair second-hand clothing, shoes, furniture, electronics, and books.
Do you want to make a difference for people and the environment? 🌱
Emmaus Welvaartsresten is a secondhand-shop and social community with a strong focus on recycling, respect, and solidarity. It is situated in an old convent building in the city center of The Hague since 1985. Through the sale of second-hand items, we give clothes, furniture and all kinds of objects a second life and offer support to people who are temporarily facing difficulties in life.
As a volunteer, you actively contribute to this mission. For example, you help sort goods, support customers in the shop, help decide on pricing, or assist with the store's structure and bring in new ideas. At the same time, you become part of a warm, open and committed community where collaboration and a friendly atmosphere are in the center.
Your commitment is flexible: you can join on Tuesdays,Thursdays or Fridays from 12:00 to 16:00 and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 17:00. In return, you get more than just a fun activity; you build social connections, gain valuable experiences, and enjoy working with unique second-hand finds.
We are looking for enthusiastic people of all ages who are interested in sustainability and social engagement. Whether you are a student or retired: Your help makes a difference.
Join our sweet community and discover how socially valuable recycle can be! 🌱
