We are looking for your help at the De Schilp and Zuiderpark swimming pools

Will you be the new familiar face at the Schilp poolside?

Swimming is vital in the Netherlands, and at The Hague Water Friends, we make it incredibly fun! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Friday evening classes at De Schilp Swimming Pool (Rijswijk).

Whether you have years of experience or just want to learn how to teach children the tricks of the trade: we're looking for you!

Who are we looking for?

We have openings for various roles within our volunteer team:

• Swimming teachers: Who take the lead in the water or on the side.

• Assistant swimming teachers: Those who want to learn the profession and support the headmaster/teacher.

• Supervisors: They ensure safety and keep an eye on things.

When and where?

Every Friday evening at De Schilp swimming pool. We offer lessons for ABC diplomas and advanced diplomas such as Snorkeling and Survival.

• 1st hour: 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM (children)

• 2nd hour: 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM (children)

What do we expect from you?

• Presence: Continuity is important for the children; you become their familiar face and safe beacon.

• Enthusiasm: You enjoy working with children and motivating them.

• Safety: Willingness to request a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) free of charge.

What do we offer you?

• Training: The possibility to follow an accredited training course to become a swimming instructor at our expense.

• Team spirit: You will join a warm team of volunteers who are passionate about swimming.
