Become a volunteer at Haagse Helpers (MDT YourCube)
Do you want to make a difference for others while simultaneously working on your own development? At Haagse Helpers , you dedicate yourself to people who could use some extra help or attention. Whether you enjoy working with the elderly, children, local residents, or other social groups: together, we will find a volunteer position that suits your interests, talents, and schedule.
Volunteering is more than just doing something for someone else. You meet new people, discover what you are good at, develop skills that come in handy at school, during your studies, or at work, and gain valuable practical experience.
What can you expect?

- Personal guidance and coaching during your journey.
- Inspiring training sessions and workshops where you develop new skills.
- A large network of engaged young people and social organizations in The Hague.
- Upon completion, you will receive a European recognized certificate (Europass) as proof of your commitment and development.
For whom?
You can participate if you:
- are between 14 and 30 years old;
- have a BSN number ;
- are motivated to help yourself and the city move forward;
- are enthusiastic about committing yourself for at least 6 months;
- lives in The Hague or the surrounding area

Haagse Helpers is a youth network that offers help to people who have little or no network. We inspire and motivate young people (14-30 years old) to volunteer for lonely fellow citizens. Volunteering at Haagse Helpers is flexible, so you can commit yourself at a time that suits you!
With us you can develop your talents, make new friends and roll up your sleeves. You go out in The Hague to carry out practical and social help activities for vulnerable people requesting help. Examples include gardening, shopping, buddy contact, cooking for vulnerable people and baking pancakes for the elderly in nursing homes. We guide you in the implementation of the volunteer work and like to hear your experiences during a coffee moment at our office. We also organize training courses and workshops on social themes. You focus on self-development, you meet other volunteers and we have a drink together afterwards.
