Do you have some extra time to spare this summer? Roll up your sleeves and make an immediate difference in The Hague for people who really need it!
This summer, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who would like to help with practical tasks for a few days or half-days. Think of tidying up a garden, painting, assembling a cupboard, or making a home livable again for someone who is unable to do it themselves.
At Stichting Present Den Haag, we help people who are unable to organize help due to illness, old age, a disability, or financial problems. Together with other volunteers, you ensure that someone can live comfortably again or enjoy their garden.
What are you going to do?
Together with other volunteers, you help with one-off practical projects, such as:
- Tidying up overgrown gardens
- Painting
- assemble cabinets
- Laying laminate
- Tidying up and cleaning homes
- Other practical jobs in and around the house
You don't have to be a professional. If you like rolling up your sleeves and enjoy helping people, you are more than welcome. You will be guided by experienced handymen.
Who are we looking for?
You:
- have one day, a few days, or a few half-days available this summer;
- likes to get things done;
- enjoys working together;
- enjoys meeting people;
- be respectful in someone's home and living environment.

Present Den Haag builds bridges between people who can make a difference and people and social organizations who need some extra support.
Our volunteer groups consist of people from businesses, schools, churches, or groups of friends, from government agencies: anyone can sign up to work on projects with us, either one-time or multiple times.
The projects are social or practical: we undertake social activities within social organizations or carry out practical jobs, such as gardening or painting. We do this for both individuals and organizations.
You can volunteer with us to carry out projects, supervise volunteer groups, or support us in the office with project organization. Something for everyone!
