For the Neighborhood Assistance Center we are looking for people with green fingers who want to do gardening jobs for a few hours a week or month, mainly for older people's homes.
Because elderly people live at home longer these days, many of them have difficulty maintaining their gardens. That is why we are looking for "gardeners" who enjoy working in green areas. You do not have to be an official gardener; enthusiasm and a bit of green fingers are enough.
It often involves chores such as: weeding, possibly mowing the lawn or pruning a hedge, tidying up a bit or removing plants.
Your work area is the city district Centrum, in consultation you will be deployed when and where you want or not. The work is unpaid, flexible to divide, usually only in spring, summer and early autumn. People must have tools at home, but if you own a number of tools yourself, that would be nice.
The jobs are always discussed in consultation with our coordinators, who can explain where you are going and what you can and cannot expect or need to do. It can also involve residents with a disability who cannot garden themselves.
We would be very happy with a few hours of availability per week at the moment, but once a month is also possible!
