Summary

Do you believe in the power of social media to drive change? And do you want to lead a team that creates impactful advocacy content? Then join us for this role!

Detailed description

Your role within Advocates Who Thrive (AWT) focuses on leading our social media team, ensuring that our content strategy is well-executed across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok; and that our content inspires and equips advocates to make a difference.

Tasks:

  • Supporting the social media team members: helping them grow in their roles, ensuring they have what they need, helping resolve roadblocks, and ensuring accountability.
  • Ensure content aligns with the broader social media strategy and brand, and is cohesive. And provide team members with feedback accordingly.
  • Make sure content production is on track and balanced across platforms.
  • Ensure the social media team stays connected with other parts of AWT.
  • Report progress to the director.
  • Contribute ideas for improving our social media strategy and explore growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to support and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to oversee multiple content streams.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and best practices.
  • A collaborative mindset.
  • Commitment to inclusion, environmental sustainability and animal rights.

Even though the role is remote, we're looking for someone who is based in the area of Den Haag or otherwise able and willing to travel to attend our cozy team meetings that take place on a monthly basis (each 2nd Saturday of the month).

Note: This role provides a foundation for leading our social media efforts. Adjustments can be made based on specific preferences or additional details you may provide.

About Advocates Who Thrive

At Advocates Who Thrive we empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for social and environmental justice.

We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity and competences to speak up, lobby & campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights and inclusion.

In order to successfully address these urgent societal challenges, we need all kinds of angles and viewpoints to be on board. That’s where our main activities – the intensive, multi-day training courses that we organize – come in. Where international youth from all kinds of backgrounds come together. The training setup in combination with their passion and collective drive allows them to fully focus on the topic and on each other. As a result, participants develop themselves and each other in ways they never imagined before.

Fully in line with these values, in our organization we welcome and involve youth from all walks of life. No matter their background, religion, education, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to join!
