The ZHDB is looking for volunteers with experience and communication skills to spread our message and provide support in organizing the events.

Job description:

  1. Strategic advice: You analyze the current situation, identify strengths and challenges, and develop a strategy to influence public perception.
  2. Media Appearances: You will prepare us for media appearances such as interviews and events and train us in effectively conveying our message, dealing with tough questions and maintaining a consistent image.
  3. Message development: You help formulate a clear and persuasive message that aligns with our goals and values. You ensure that this message is communicated consistently across different channels and on different occasions.
  4. Media relations: You build and maintain good relations with journalists and media organisations. You generate positive media attention and at the same time you are alert to negative coverage and you take action if necessary to limit the damage.
  5. You act as a spokesperson and provide a coordinated and consistent message to protect our reputation.
  6. You will develop strategies to promote checkers and gain public favor and ensure an effective online and offline presence.


Important skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
  • Good knowledge of the media and the ability to use media channels effectively.
  • Insight and understanding of public opinion.
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills.
  • Creativity and flexibility in tackling communication challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse stakeholders.
