"Stay awhile" is a Cardia initiative that has been running since 2015. With "Stay awhile," a volunteer is paired with an older adult living at home. This volunteer visits regularly to talk about everyday things together. The conversation can also include questions about life, fond memories, joy, or even sadness. It's comforting to share these things with someone.
