About Blijf je nog even?

The buddy project Will you stay for a while? exists since 2015. In this project, a collaboration between Stek and Cardia, an elderly person is paired with a volunteer, who visits him or her regularly for a year. During those visits, there is time to talk about the questions and thoughts that are on the elder's mind.

Questions and thoughts that come up more often as you get older. Such as questions about the meaning of existence, thoughts about choices made, sadness, joy and desire, your courage and your effort. It is good for people to share these with an involved discussion partner. It is precisely these questions that will be discussed during the visits of Are you staying for a while?. Our volunteers are trained to be able to listen carefully and ask questions about these topics.
