De Muren hebben Oren

About De Muren hebben Oren

The Walls Have Ears is a meeting and history project in which pupils from various primary schools in The Hague, Leiden, Rotterdam and Amsterdam discover through an interview who else lives in their city and which histories are hidden behind the facades of that city. .

What was it like to live in the Netherlands during the Second World War, or to have to leave the city? And in the period after that, what was it like for residents of the former Dutch colonies to come to the Netherlands? What was it like for guest workers and later migrant workers to live and work here? What have refugees experienced who applied for asylum in the Netherlands?

These are the questions that are central to the project De Muren have Oren.
