About Erfgoedvereniging Heemschut

The Bond Heemschut was founded in 1911 and has been committed to the preservation of cultural heritage for more than 100 years. As a heritage association, we are committed to the protection of valuable objects and areas with our more than 5000 members. From an endangered tea house to the cluttering of the Netherlands, for example along the highways. We do this work with the help of volunteers. All provinces and the city of Amsterdam have their own independent Heemschut committee. These volunteers are supported by the national office that is located in Amsterdam. In addition to committees, Heemschut also has working groups that focus on specific areas, such as monumental art and young heritage after 1965.
