Job description:
As a cooking volunteer you are a source of warmth and support for our dear guests. Your tasks include:
- Preparing tasty and nutritious meals that are tailored to the individual needs and wishes of our guest residents.
- Listening to stories and memories shared while cooking, as you prepare each meal with love and care.
- Creating an atmosphere of home and security in the dining area, where guest residents and their families feel comfortable.
- Provide a helping hand to the care team by collaborating and exchanging information on the needs of guest residents.
- Keeping the kitchen and dining area clean and tidy so that everything is ready for the next meal.
Qualifications:
- A heart full of compassion and empathy, extending care and warmth to those who need it most.
- Passion for cooking and the ability to prepare tasty meals with attention to special dietary requirements and food allergies.
- Patience and understanding for the emotions and needs of guest residents in their final phase of life.
- A listening ear and a willingness to embrace stories and memories as you cook.
- Team spirit and the ability to work harmoniously with fellow volunteers and the care team.
