About Huis van Gedichten

Huis van Gedichten is a literary education institution in The Hague, active within education in The Hague. We are there for children and young people within pre-schools, primary education, secondary education, (V)MBO and special education.

We develop programs for teachers so that they can use poetry, spoken word and creative writing in the classroom in an inspiring way. We also work together with Libraries, Youth Work and other cultural institutions in The Hague.

Huis van Gedichten believes it is important that poetry and Spoken Word are given space in The Hague. That is why, in collaboration with other organizations in The Hague, we provide challenging workshops, lectures or other poetry-related activities at festivals and events.
