Stichting Lichtpuntjes van Mariahoeve

Lichtpuntjes van Mariahoeve currently has approximately 60 volunteers. Most come from the Haagse Hout district. Volunteers work with us on the basis of a volunteer agreement and can receive an expense allowance or volunteer allowance. Some progress internally to employment. They receive part-time or temporary employment with appropriate compensation. Progression from volunteer work to paid employment is part of Lichtpuntjes' development model. We are an active organization and growing rapidly. All help is welcome. With us, you can choose from various/several tasks: Hospitality: welcoming people, serving coffee/tea, chatting, and referring people to the right support services. Kitchen: Helping with preparing hot meals, helping to cut, making snacks for social catering assignments, cleaning the kitchen, and serving plates. Lichtpuntjes Resto: Helping in our restaurant, setting tables, serving, and clearing food. Shop: Sorting and displaying clothes, hanging, and folding. Assisting visitors with questions and providing clothing advice. Workshop Facilitators: Creative activities such as crafts, drawing, and needlework. Teaching Support: Assist with painting or sewing classes in our studios. Beauty/Care: Volunteer nail technicians and makeup artists. If you're good at these, sign up! We're also looking for a hairdresser! Cleaning: Assist with cleaning tasks in both of our buildings, day-end cleaning, and final cleaning. Repairs: Support in our Repair Studio, performing maintenance tasks at our locations. Energy Savings: Volunteer on our energy team, providing energy advice, insulation, and energy-saving tips, and assisting with the Fix Brigade and the in-home handyman team. Field Service: Pick up items in the neighborhood, deliver meals, and visit food banks. Lighter Jobs: Packing, preparing materials, and light administrative tasks. Place2B: Assist with children's activities (always with professional supervision), assist with crafts, distribute fruit, and play games. Volunteers are the heart of the Mariahoeve Lightpoints Foundation.
