About Museum Sophiahof

In 'Museum Sophiahof – from the Indies to the present' the significance of the colonial past of the Dutch East Indies for the Netherlands today comes to life and the consequences of colonization, war and migration become tangible. This is reflected in the exhibitions, but also in the public events, the educational programmes, the knowledge center and the library. Museum Sophiahof houses a number of organizations that contribute to the museum, meeting and knowledge function: The Indies Remembrance Center, Moluccan Historical Museum, Indisch Platform, Pelita Foundation and National Remembrance Foundation 15 August 1945. You can also contact us if you are looking for a suitable space for meetings or other types of gatherings.
