About Stichting Veldwerk Haaglanden

The Veldwerk Haaglanden Foundation was founded in 2022 by a number of friends with a warm heart for the city and especially for people in need.

We are visibly working in the Haaglanden region three evenings a week with a group of volunteers. These evenings we look for people who live on the street. We talk to them and offer help and support. From finding work and housing to a tube of toothpaste or a pair of warm socks.

The Foundation is inspired by the Christian faith in which charity is central. Every person, regardless of origin or circumstances, is valuable. We want to put into practice the love that God has for every person by dedicating ourselves to people who have no helper.

Anyone who feels addressed by this is welcome to join us. In practice, these are people from all walks of life: religious and non-religious, people from and beyond The Hague, organizational talents and people who are, above all, good listeners.

Volunteer work

The Veldwerk Haaglanden Foundation works with volunteers and is also looking for new people who want to help. Are you interested? We currently have several volunteer opportunities.

We are grateful that people are willing to make their time and expertise available free of charge and selflessly. At the same time, it is important that volunteers understand the context and backgrounds in which they work. Because the foundation operates in a vulnerable field. That is why we also offer instructions and training to our volunteers.
