About Stichting Voedselbank Haaglanden
The Voedselbank Haaglanden is a non-profit foundation. Our organization works exclusively with volunteers. We are part of Voedselbank Nederland, the national umbrella organization to which 179 Food Banks, 500 distribution points, and 10 regional distribution centers are affiliated. This ensures broad national coverage, so that clients do not have to travel too far for food assistance.
Every week, we help over 2,000 households (approximately 5,000 people) in The Hague, Rijswijk, and Zoetermeer with food assistance. In addition to providing temporary support, we are also committed to preventing food waste.
We have 6 stores. Our goal is for all clients to be able to choose their own groceries in a Food Bank store. Volunteers guide clients in this process, so that everyone can put food on the table with fewer worries.
