Help organise a gathering or a thank-you moment for our volunteers about four times a year. Flexible hours, good company.
Team Winterklaar exists because of its volunteers. That is why we put them in the spotlight about four times a year with a meal or a gathering at the Vadercentrum. On an evening like that we share what has been achieved, thank everyone, and people from the different teams finally get to know each other.
We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together to help organise these moments. You will not do it alone. You work with other volunteers and there is a budget for each activity.
What will you do?
- Think along about what each gathering and thank-you moment should look like
- Invite volunteers and keep track of who is coming
- Arrange the practical side, from the room and the meal to small gifts
- Take account of what people do and do not eat, since our team has many different backgrounds
- Set up on the day, welcome people and make sure everyone feels at home
- Collect photos and stories during the gathering
- Write a short piece afterwards for the newsletter, the website or social media
What do we offer?
- Plenty of freedom to carry out your own ideas, with a budget per activity
- Help from other volunteers with the preparation and on the day
- A flexible role that concentrates around four moments a year
- Experience in organising activities and in communication
- A warm welcome in a team of dozens of volunteers from across the district
What do we ask of you?
- Enjoyment in organising and in working with people
- Reliability, because the arrangements around an event have to hold
- A few hours a month, busier in the weeks before a gathering
- No event organising experience needed
