Tell the story of Team Winterklaar in posts, photos and flyers, so residents and new volunteers can find us.
Team Winterklaar makes insulating curtains free of charge for people on a small budget and helps them save energy. Many residents in Laak still do not know we exist, and we can always use more hands in the workshop and the installation team. That is why we are looking for someone who can tell people what we do.
You work with real stories from the neighbourhood. A volunteer who learned to sew here and now trains others, a resident whose living room is finally warm. You make sure those stories reach the right place.
What will you do?
- Take photos in the sewing workshop and in people's homes, always with permission first
- Write and post short pieces on social media
- Collect stories from volunteers and residents and write them up
- Help with the newsletter and with text for the website
- Make flyers and posters for the sign-up desk and for spots around the district
- Make sure the most important texts also exist in plain Dutch and in English
- Keep track of which posts bring in sign-ups and which do not
What do we offer?
- A lot of freedom over tone and form, with a team that thinks along
- Real stories to work with, not invented marketing
- Communications experience on a community project, good for your portfolio
- Guidance from the project leads and access to our photo material
- Work clothing and a fixed place in the team
What do we ask of you?
- About 2 to 4 hours a week, mostly on your own schedule
- Good written Dutch, English is a plus
- Care with privacy, because we work inside people's homes
- Experience with social media, writing or photography is welcome, a diploma is not needed
- Dropping by on a Tuesday now and then, so you see the work up close
Practical
- About 2 to 4 hours a week, partly from home
- Planning and photography happen at the Vadercentrum, Jonckbloetplein 24, 2523 AR The Hague
