About Terre des Hommes

Terre des Hommes' mission is to end child exploitation, the most serious violations of the rights of the child. Not an easy battle, because poverty sometimes drives people to despair and prosecuting perpetrators of child exploitation is often not a priority for local authorities. But Terre des Hommes is not just giving up and will continue to work with its local partners for a world without child exploitation. The United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child forms the basis for our work. In helping children, we make no distinction based on race, religion, gender or political affiliation. Nearly 1,700 volunteers are actively involved in more than 40 shops in the Netherlands to stop child exploitation. Tens of thousands of donors and companies are behind them.
