Viable Community is looking for a Dutch-speaking Seller Outreach Volunteer to help bring sustainable local sellers onto VIAplace in and around Den Haag.

Viable Community is seeking a locally rooted Seller Outreach Volunteer to identify, approach, and onboard sustainable sellers for VIAplace, our community marketplace. This role is suited to someone who knows Den Haag well and is motivated to contribute their time and local network to a mission-driven NGO.

 Working closely with the VIAplace team, you will find shops, makers, and producers whose products fit our sustainability principles, make first contact, and guide interested sellers through onboarding. You will be the face of VIAplace in the city — building relationships, gathering feedback from the sellers you speak with, and helping shape how we present the marketplace to the local community.

 Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and map sustainable sellers in and around Den Haag
    • Make first contact in Dutch — by email, phone, or in person
    • Guide interested sellers through onboarding using our existing seller pack
    • Feed seller questions and objections back to the team to improve our materials

About You

    • Fluent in Dutch and based in or near Den Haag, with good knowledge of the city
    • Comfortable approaching businesses and starting conversations; sales or outreach experience is a plus
    • Genuine interest in sustainability and local economies
    • Able to commit consistent time and follow up reliably
