Will you help us as a host/hostess in the management of our multifunctional historic hall? Are you someone who knows what hospitality means? Then respond quickly!
The Scheveningen-dorp Residents' Association has a beautiful historic hall that many groups use. The hall needs to be inspected a few times a week. Is everything still tidy? Are all the facilities in their proper place? Are there any small jobs that need to be done? You'll be the point of contact for the groups using the hall, for technicians who come by to fix malfunctions, and host groups who rent the hall. In return, you'll meet many residents, have plenty of company, there's always fresh coffee and tea, and you'll receive a volunteer allowance.
What will you be doing?
You'll check the room a few times a week to make sure it's still tidy. Are the tables and chairs in their proper places? You'll set up the projector if necessary. You'll check for enough coffee and tea. Occasionally, you'll make coffee when the room is rented out. You'll greet technicians to show them around. You'll be our host and the key player in managing the room. The room is located on the first floor of the Kalhuis, the welcoming community center of the Scheveningen Welfare Foundation on Badhuisstraat.
The work will take 1-2 hours of your time, spread out over the day, 3 times a week. Occasionally, you'll host a group in the evenings, approximately 3 times a month.
Who are we looking for?
You live in Scheveningen-dorp, are hospitable, communicative, organized, and have a passion for this historic hall. You are available during the day (early morning, late afternoon) and occasionally a few evenings per month. We offer a modest compensation in accordance with the volunteer policy of the municipality of The Hague.
Curious? Let's meet!
