Summary

This is an international ( community event ) training course where participants learn to express themselves about migration through the use of street art!

Detailed description

During this training course, you'll gather in Den Haag with 20 other participants from the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Hungary. And during the full period of 19 - 29 April 2022. Together you'll develop the knowledge and competences to contribute to a more positive dialogue about migration and integration. And as part of that familiarize yourselves with street art skills, techniques and practical experience, as an instrument to express themselves (about this topic).

The training course is full of highly interactive workshops that stimulate and facilitate active participation through e.g. brainstorming, site visits, interviews, discussions and debate. And in the process you'll get to bond with other participants and make new friends, facilitated by the 24/7 together setting, team building exercises, plenty of off-schedule conversations, and a group of people with a shared motivation to make the world a better place!

In order to participate, no prior experience with street art is required. Only thing is that you need to be at least 18 years old (at 19 April 2022), living in the Netherlands, and desirably working with / wishing to work with or for youth on a occasional or regular basis.... and of course being interested into the topics at hand.

Your full stay including accommodation, meals and travels is covered by the project. A participation fee of 30 EUR is required, but we can waive it in case you're unable to pay for it (you can indicate so in the application form).

The infopack containing detailed specifications about the project, as well as the application form, can be found through this link: https://linktr.ee/youthformobility

Applications close at 1 February 2022, 23:59 CET.

About Advocates Who Thrive

At Advocates Who Thrive we empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for justice. We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity and competences to speak up, lobby & campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights and inclusion.

In order to successfully address these urgent societal challenges, we need all kinds of angles and viewpoints to be on board. That’s where our main activities – the intensive, multi-day training courses that we organize – come in. Where international youth from all kinds of backgrounds come together. The training setup in combination with their passion and collective drive allows them to fully focus on the topic and on each other. As a result, participants develop themselves and each other in ways they never imagined before.

Fully in line with these values, in our organization we welcome and involve youth from all walks of life. No matter their background, religion, education, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to join!
