We would soon like to start a weekly lunch for local residents.Detailed description
In Transvaal many people are alone. We would like to offer them the opportunity to do something together, meet others, and enjoy a nice meal in the meantime.
Once a month, lunch will be a 'meal plus': there will be a theme related to meaning/faith.
The lunch itself is simple: baskets with bread, butter, toppings (cheese, chicken fillet, chocolate spread, peanut butter, hummus, a salad), an egg, raw vegetables (tomato and cucumber) and a soup.
The sandwiches do not need to be prepared in advance: the components can simply be placed on the table, and then everyone can prepare their own sandwiches.
The soup must be prepared in advance.
To achieve this, volunteers are needed:
- For shopping (morning)
- For making the soup (morning)
- Before setting the table (morning)
- Before cleaning up (afternoon)
Of course, we assume that you will join us for dinner if you are a volunteer.
